Introduction

Purpose

This texture pack adds a simple static scanlines effect with a vintage look to Minecraft bedrock Edition. It gives the game an old-school vibe, perfect for creating a retro or spooky feel.

Audience

Perfect for players seeking a horror VHS style, nostalgia vibes, bodycam, and many more.

This texture pack is ideally suited for horror maps, classic Minecraft, VHS horror, and pairs seamlessly with mods such as Dwellers or other horror-themed content or any other bedrock horror mopacks.

Installation Instructions

Download the Texture Pack

Download the version you like provided on Modbay.org

Open the File

Once downloaded, simply long press on the .mcpack.zip file then rename the file and remove the .zip after that click the .mcpack file and click the arrow button near the view button and find Minecraft then click on it, it should automatically open Minecraft Bedrock Edition and begin importing.

Apply the Pack

After importing, go to Any world > Texture packs > then select the VHS OVERLAY texture pack, then click Activate then start your world.

Enjoy the Atmosphere

Start a new world or load an existing one to activate the VHS effect.

Adjust Brightness

For the best experience, adjust the in-game brightness settings to a lower level for a truly spooky vibe, I recommend it to turn it to the lowest brightness.

IMPORTANT!

⚠️ Do not put this in global resources! ⚠️

🪲 VHS overlay may not be compatible with your🪲 resolution so the overlay could be cutoff in both end side of your screen but this will be casually fixed in the future!

This is absolutely hard to make but absolutely for free, and I didn't add greedy 3rd party links, so supporting this pack I created originally actually means a lot to me, the only thing I will want you to do too help me improve this texture pack further more is for giving this texture pack I made a heart! ❤️

  • Fixed the larger VHS overlay bug! (The larger VHS overlay now works)
  • Improved the paragraph further! (Make it more understandable)
  • Changes the vignette side to curved version! (More appealing and understandble)

    so,little thing i noticed(playing on a PC rn) everytime i put the game on full screen,instead of it overlaying the whole screen,it only covers the middle areas,and then there's annoying gaps on the top and bottom of the screen,please fix whanever possible ^^

      It's impossible to track how many day have you played in your world but I can do the counting number by animating the pack but it would take me months or weeks

      Pick a variant, after that download zarchriver and go to the download files and find the VHS -overlay.mcpack.zip then rename the file then remove the zip it should look like this, vhs-overlay.mcpack then click on the file and click the arrow button ↗️ it's on the side of the view button, click it and find Minecraft then click on Minecraft it should open Minecraft and start importing automatically
