Japan Railway (JR) Sound Texture Pack for MCPE/MCBE

Japan Railways Group, better known as JR Group (JRグループ, Jeiāru Gurūpu) or JR, consists of a group of Japanese railway companies that, since April 1, 1987, took over most of the assets of Japan National Railway (JNR) company. JR is the operator of the Shinkansen high-speed trains and a large number of intercity railway services.

Japanese National Railways, a state-owned company, was forced to split up due to debt. The nine companies grouped in the Japan Railways group are each independent companies, but the railway network is still shared by all members of the group. Of the nine companies, seven are railway service operators and two others. One of the seven railway service operators is a cargo company, while the remaining six companies are divided based on the areas served.

Three companies in the JR group—JR East, JR Central, JR West—have been listed on the stock exchange. The other companies are still owned by Japan Transport, Development, and Japan Railway Technology (JRTT), which is an independent government-owned agency.
