I noticed when i activate the modpack it turns off vibrant visuals

I tried to import this mod into Minecraft on my son's tablet, and we have the Sonic.exe character, but the Ring Extractor isn't showing up... any idea why? I can also see the blood rain. Are we running an old version of the mod? I used the links on this page, but I think I had previously installed an old version.
