Minecraft Bedrock Preview 26.30.28 adds the official Chaos Cubed soundtrack to the game, composed by fingerspit (Paula Ruiz). Six new tracks join the game alongside a large batch of sulfur cube and potent sulfur fixes.

New Music

The update adds five ambient tracks (Ebb, Home, Memories, Nightly, and Shores) that play on the main menu, in Creative Mode, and across over 20 biomes including sulfur caves, cherry groves, jungles, lush caves, deserts, and mesa. There's also a new music disc called Bounce, which can be found inside minecart chests in abandoned mineshafts that generate within sulfur caves. The full soundtrack is available to stream on Spotify.

Sulfur Cube Fixes

TNT sulfur cubes received several important updates. They now ignite when hit by flaming arrows, blaze fireballs, or Fire Aspect tools. Explosions properly respect the mobGriefing and tntExplosiondropDecay game rules now. Other notable changes:

  • Absorbed blocks now match the size of regular blocks and align properly with the block grid
  • Sulfur cubes now spawn in Peaceful difficulty
  • Small sulfur cube got an updated model and texture
  • Sulfur cubes can no longer ride boats or minecarts (known parity break with Java)
  • Magma blocks no longer damage sulfur cubes that have a block absorbed
  • Sulfur cube is now unleashed when its absorbed block is ejected
  • New sounds for picking up and placing sulfur cubes with a bucket

Potent Sulfur and Geysers

Noxious gas can now rise through non-collidable and waterlogged blocks, and geyser eruptions can propel entities through them too. Scaffolding works as a way to stand above erupting potent sulfur without getting hit by gas. Geyser timing is now tied to block position rather than being randomized on placement, and placing lava under potent sulfur creates a continuous non-stop eruption. Creative flight players are no longer affected by eruptions.
