Mojang held a bonus Minecraft LIVE broadcast live from TwitchCon Europe, covering the upcoming Chaos Cubed drop, the first look at the third game drop of 2026, new details on Minecraft Dungeons II, and a LEGO reveal.

Chaos Cubed

The show opened with a closer look at Chaos Cubed, the second drop of 2026. The development team showed early prototypes and talked through the sulfur cube's block-absorbing mechanics. The highlight was TNT sulfur cubes, which apparently nobody on the team can resist detonating. Chaos Cubed launches with sulfur caves, the sulfur cube mob, potent sulfur, and two new block sets.

Drop 3: Dappled Forest

The third game drop of 2026 gets its first reveal. The centerpiece is the dappled forest, a new woodland biome with a warm, autumnal feel and a distinct visual identity. Here's what we know so far:

  • Poplar trees are the defining feature of the biome, growing tall with warm gray wood that has a natural, weathered look different from any existing wood type
  • Persistently red shrubs dot the ground, adding splashes of color that stay red regardless of the season or biome temperature
  • Herringbone wood patterns appear in the biome's generated structures, suggesting a distinct architectural style
  • Abandoned camps are scattered throughout the dappled forest, hinting at a mystery or story element tied to the drop

The warm gray poplar wood looks like a strong addition for builders looking for neutral tones with natural texture. The biome has a cozy, slightly eerie atmosphere that sets it apart from existing forest types. Full details on the fall drop are coming later in the year.

Minecraft Dungeons II

The show introduced the Twisted Warden, a new enemy coming to Minecraft Dungeons II. Described as slow but extremely powerful, it's tied to the deep dark and appears through an ominous portal. Dungeons II is coming later this year to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, Xbox on PC, and Game Pass.

LEGO and the Minecraft Arena

TwitchCon featured a life-size Minecraft Arena built with real biome recreations and a giant Twisted Warden display. LEGO revealed an upcoming Dungeons II set and unveiled the LEGO Minecraft Chicken Mounts add-on, a Marketplace download focused entirely on rideable and customizable chickens.
