New Avatar Legends Add-On Lets You Become the Avatar in Minecraft

Minecraft has released Avatar Legends, a new Marketplace add-on inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender. You play as the Avatar, a chosen one who can bend all four elements: water, fire, air, and earth. You can get it now in the Minecraft Marketplace.

Each element comes with three techniques. Earth lets you raise walls, water arms work like grappling hooks, fire jets push you through the air a bit like a jetpack, and air creates a whirling tornado attack. Fire Sweep sets enemies on fire. Learning a technique also gives a passive bonus, so mastering a fire technique, for example, makes you resistant to fire damage.

The Avatar Spirits teach you the techniques as you travel through different nation biomes and visit elemental temples. You earn mastery points by using your abilities and interacting with the world, then spend them at meditation points. Temples have them, and you can also craft your own. Once unlocked, the Avatar State gives you stronger techniques with no limits, though for now it only triggers when you would otherwise take fatal damage, and it lasts a short time.
