Minecraft Bedrock Preview 26.30.25 (26.30.26 on PlayStation) is out with two new Chaos Cubed features: geysers and TNT-absorbing sulfur cubes. Both are available for testing now in beta and preview builds.

Geysers

Geysers are a new environmental feature that forms when a magma block sits underneath a potent sulfur block submerged in one to four blocks of water. The result is a vertical burst of sulfurous water that launches players and mobs into the air. You can use them for quick vertical movement or build them into custom arenas and obstacle courses. Geyser sounds and particle animations are still being worked on and may not look or sound right in this build.

TNT Sulfur Cubes

Sulfur cubes can now absorb TNT blocks, and yes, you can ignite them. Once primed by redstone, fire, or a nearby explosion, the absorbed TNT starts a fuse. Redstone and fire give you a 6-second timer, while explosion-triggered fuses are randomized between 0.75 and 3 seconds. A primed sulfur cube can't be picked up with a bucket, can't be damaged, and you can't shear the TNT out of it. When it blows, no small sulfur cubes spawn from the explosion.

Other Chaos Cubed Changes

  • Sulfur springs generate above sulfur caves again and are less likely to destroy nearby trees
  • Canyons now properly carve through cinnabar and sulfur blocks
  • Sulfur spikes are back in the creative inventory
  • Wandering traders can now sell sulfur spikes
  • Several sulfur cube bucket bugs have been fixed, including one that placed water at the world origin

PlayStation players will receive this preview slightly later than other platforms. The build is available now on Xbox, Windows, iOS, and Android (Google Play beta).
