Minecraft Bedrock Preview 26.60.22 and Beta 26.60.23 bring a round of gameplay refinements, from snappable trapdoor placement to a fix for the long-standing Axolotl regeneration stacking exploit.

Gameplay Changes

Axolotl regeneration can no longer be stacked infinitely, closing a bug that's been around for years. Effects that are weaker but last longer now correctly resume once a stronger, shorter effect of the same type wears off, instead of just disappearing. Players no longer stop sneaking the moment they touch water, and red and brown mushrooms can now be placed on any solid-topped block regardless of lighting, though their natural spreading rules haven't changed.

Trapdoors got a new placement option: holding the place block control while one is selected locks it to a fixed direction until you release the control, making precise builds easier without constantly repositioning your camera.

Straw Bed Fixes

Straw Beds can no longer be placed on a block occupied by an entity. A separate bug causing missing geometry errors and broken rendering in worlds or templates built on versions older than 26.50 has also been resolved.

Blocks and Sounds

Wool and concrete blocks now correctly produce their intended instrument sounds when placed near Note Blocks, fixing an oversight from when those block sets were first added.

Commands

An extended piston with its arm outside the cloned area was previously missing from /clone results, and a piston cloned without its arm would destroy itself, both are now fixed. The /time command no longer allows negative time values, and any overflow past the maximum time amount now correctly wraps to the equivalent time on the first day. Worlds currently stuck with a negative time value will have that corrected automatically when /time add is used.

Other Fixes

A bug where a zombie attempting to equip multiple ground items at once could cause some of those items to vanish has been fixed. Several accessibility issues with controller navigation on Realms modals were also addressed, including the rate limit modal and the close button on the moderation feed options screen, both of which weren't being read correctly by screen readers.
