Wilderness Bound is officially out now in Minecraft Bedrock Edition 26.50, bringing the dappled forest biome, Abandoned Camps, poplar trees, and the full camping toolkit of straw beds and cushions to all players.

Abandoned Camps

Abandoned Camps generate across 18 different biomes, including meadows, cherry groves, forests, taigas, jungles, swamps, savannas, and the dappled forest itself, with each biome getting its own visual variant of the structure while sharing some generic pieces across all of them. Camps contain chests and barrels with loot, along with straw beds and cushions ready to use. Some chests also hold Explorer Maps pointing toward Ancient Cities, Mineshafts, Desert Pyramids, Warm Ocean Ruins, and other Abandoned Camp variants.

Dappled Forest and Poplar Trees

The dappled forest generates near cold biomes and is defined by its poplar trees, which come in red, orange, and yellow leaf variants, each with matching falling leaf particles. Poplar leaves drop saplings that grow randomly into any of the three colors, and wandering traders sell them too. Shelf mushrooms and leaf litter naturally appear on and around the trees, and poplar logs can be crafted into a full wood block set. Standard passive and neutral mobs spawn here using their cold variants where applicable.

Red Shrubs and Shelf Mushrooms

Red Shrubs are a new decorative plant found in small patches throughout the biome. They compost normally, and bone meal spreads them to adjacent open space. Shelf Mushrooms grow directly on poplar trees and fallen logs in small and large sizes, bone meal upgrades small ones to large, and they can be used in stews just like other mushrooms. They also have a slight bounce when stepped on, similar to beds, and are available from wandering traders.

Straw Bed

Straw Beds let you skip the night without setting your spawn point. They're single-use and break after sleeping in them once, and they don't work in the Nether or the End. Three hay bales craft into four straw beds, and they break faster when mined with a hoe.

Cushion

The Cushion is a new sittable item available in all 16 wool colors, crafted from 3 wool slabs of matching color. It aligns to the grid horizontally but rests on top of whatever surface supports it vertically, can't be moved once placed, and breaks if that supporting block is removed. Cushions have no collision, so they can share space with other objects, just not with each other.

New Stairs and Slabs

Wool and concrete both received stair and slab variants in all 16 colors, closing a long-standing gap for builders working with those block sets.
