You have to: Deactivate the addon from all worlds, then fully delete the older addon, then download and install the new version from Modbay and activate it in your world again! Also keep in mind the game sometimes has a cache/duplicate version! Ignore it and make sure to get the correct one on activation! Cheers! ; )

você não deveria usar a nova versão do addon no mesmo mundo em que estava usando a versão antiga, você deve excluí-lo e criar outro.

mas de fato ele não envia mensagens no chat, e não faria sentido ele enviar.
