Giant golden-crowned flying fox

The Giant Golden-Crowned Flying Fox is a new large bat mob with orange fur and a pronounced snout. It adds atmosphere and wildlife variety with natural flight patterns, idle animations, and simple interactions for a more immersive world.

Features

• Large flying mob with orange/golden fur and a distinctive snout.
• Ambient flight behavior — roosts in caves and glides at night.
• Simple passive interactions: non-hostile unless provoked.
• Custom model and textures included (no sound overhaul).

Spawn & Behavior

Spawns naturally in dark cave areas and dense forest canopies at night. Flies in groups, occasionally roosting on cave ceilings. Will flee when attacked and may drop minor loot.

Drops & Loot

Defeated flying foxes drop a small amount of common resources (configurable). No game-breaking items included.

Compatibility

Designed for standard Minecraft mod setups. Should be compatible with most mob framework mods — test on a backup world first.

1. Place the mod file into your mods folder (Forge/Fabric compatible build as specified by the author).
2. Start Minecraft and enable the mod in your mod loader.
