Minecraft Preview 26.50.25: Cushions and Camps Improvements
Minecraft Bedrock Preview 26.50.25 is a cleanup pass on Drop 3 features, with fixes touching Cushions, Abandoned Camps, Explorer Maps, and the new stair and slab block sets.
Cushion Physics Fixes
Cushions can now share space with honey blocks and sniffer eggs, since those blocks no longer offer side support that would previously block placement. Chains got the same treatment: they're no longer treated as full blocks, so cushions can occupy the same space as a chain too. That change came with side effects, ladders, vines, and twisting vines can no longer attach to chains, and lanterns or bells can no longer hang from the underside of horizontal chains.
A handful of smaller cushion bugs are also fixed. Breaking particles now spawn at the cushion itself instead of the block underneath, the sitting hint correctly reads "Press SHIFT to get up" to match Java, cushions spawned without a color via commands default to white instead of black, and cushions can no longer be destroyed by players in adventure mode.
Abandoned Camp Adjustments
- Seagrass inside camps is now always waterlogged
- Duplicate cushion entries removed from two campsite structures
- Barrels can now contain a White Cushion and a Straw Bed
- Firework Rockets replaced with Gunpowder in camp loot tables
- Explorer Maps found in camps no longer point to another camp in the same biome they were looted from
Explorer Maps and Straw Bed
Poplar Leaves now display the correct color when shown on Explorer Maps, and several map labels were renamed for clarity, including Buried Ancient City, Buried Mineshaft, Desert Pyramid, and Warm Ocean Ruins. Straw Beds now break faster when using a Hoe.
Wool and Concrete Blocks
Wool and concrete stairs, slabs, and double slabs no longer always drop themselves when destroyed by an explosion with the tntExplosiondropDecay rule enabled. Concrete stairs and slabs can now be crafted through the stonecutter in all 16 colors. Wool stairs and slabs no longer trigger vibrations when dropped as items, and they now break faster with shears, matching how full wool blocks behave.
Graphics
Flowing water in the Dappled Forest biome is no longer rendered as opaque, fixing a visual inconsistency with how water looks in other biomes.
