New Behaviours
Feather Drops
Parrots will randomly drop feathers over time.
Sleeping
Tamed parrots will attempt to sleep near their owners, similar to cats.
Breeding
- Parrots can now be bred using apples, melon slices, or sweet berries.
- Breeding requires the new Nest Block, which must be placed nearby.
Flightless Parrots
- Parrots can have their wings clipped with shears, preventing them from flying.
- Clipped parrots will walk instead of flying.
- The Kakapo is the world’s only flightless parrot and is flightless by default.
- Baby parrots cannot fly until they mature.
- Wing feathers will eventually grow back.
Wild Kea Behaviour
Wild Kea may mischievously attack sheep in the wild.
Size Variety
Parrots now come in a wide variety of sizes.
New Block: Nest
The Nest Block naturally generates in trees and drops sticks and feathers when broken — unless harvested with Silk Touch.
You can place a Nest near your parrots to allow them to breed.
