What's New in Minecraft Bedrock 26.20
Minecraft Bedrock 26.20 is here with a long-requested accessibility feature, baby mob polish from Tiny Takeover, and the full Chaos Cubed experimental lineup available for testing.
Closed Captions
The headline addition in this release is closed captions, one of the most requested accessibility features for Bedrock Edition. You can customize their position on screen, adjust how long they stay visible, and choose which sounds trigger them. It's a big step for players who are deaf or hard of hearing, or anyone who plays without audio.
Tiny Takeover Fixes
Several baby mobs from the Tiny Takeover drop got sound tweaks, texture corrections, and geometry fixes. If you noticed anything off with the redesigned babies after the 26.10 update, this build addresses a number of those issues.
Chaos Cubed in Testing
All the core Chaos Cubed features are now available behind the experimental toggle. Sulfur caves generate underground with cinnabar and sulfur block sets, potent sulfur creates bubbling pools with noxious gas, and sulfur springs appear on the surface above the caves.
The sulfur cube's physics got a notable upgrade in this build. Knockback is now directional based on where you hit it: strike the left side and it flies right, hit from above and it rolls along the ground, hit from below and it launches upward. Harder hits produce more knockback, and your position relative to the cube also affects the trajectory. The system is still being refined, but it already makes interacting with sulfur cubes feel more like a physics puzzle than a simple combat encounter.
