Minecraft Preview 26.50.20: Abandoned Camp Fixes
Minecraft Bedrock Preview 26.50.20 focuses on polishing the Cushion and Dappled Forest features introduced in the last few updates, along with a handful of long-standing gameplay bugs.
Cushion Improvements
Cushions got noticeably more usable in this build. You can now place them right next to each other by aiming close to an existing cushion, instead of needing awkward spacing. If lava destroys a cushion while you're sitting on it, you no longer get shoved into the ground. The recipe also unlocks properly in the Recipe Book once you pick up any of its ingredients, and the item's name is now translated correctly. Mojang also nudged the placement position down slightly and raised the sitting height by one texel for a more natural look.
Abandoned Camps
Cushions now generate inside Abandoned Camps with correct positioning, rotation, and color instead of spawning incorrectly or not at all. Camps in specialized forest biomes now use the matching biome variant rather than defaulting to the generic Forest version. Secret Chests are also fixed: they now reliably drop their intended diamonds and potions instead of generating Oxidized Copper Chains by mistake.
Dappled Forest and Poplar Fixes
- Poplar Saplings can now be composted
- Shelf Mushrooms burn correctly when exposed to lava and now have breaking particles
- Wool Stairs and Slabs no longer conduct redstone signals
- Red Shrubs can now be snowlogged
- Players no longer fall through a Shelf Mushroom while it grows underneath them
- Wolves in Dappled Forests now spawn as the Pale Wolf variant
- Wandering Traders can now sell Poplar Logs
- Poplar sign UI, log color palette, and closed captions for walking on Poplar Leaves have all been corrected
Other Fixes
Hoppers no longer collect items incorrectly when placed on their side at large world coordinates, and droppers facing east or south now eject items forward instead of inserting them into containers below. The missing Baby Fox texture has been restored, and clouds no longer render as bright white spots after switching to Vibrant Visuals with a low cloud render distance. The Text to Speech with Device Settings option has been removed, though text to speech itself remains fully accessible through the standard accessibility settings.
