Richter Belmont is a descendant of Simon Belmont. He is a renowned vampire hunter. He is the main protagonist of Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, and has reappeared frequently as a supporting character in later games. Every generation of the Belmont Clan has produced tougher, more dedicated vampire hunters, yet Richter stands as one of the most powerful in the family. Brandishing the legendary sacred whip which so many of his predecessors wielded, this hot-headed youth pushed Dracula to the brink.
Richter Belmont is the main protagonist of the Castlevania Nocturne. He is a powerful and cunning descendant of the Belmont lineage of vampire hunters and the current owner of the whip. After his mother was murdered by a vampire in front of his eyes when he was a child, he grew up to become one of the most powerful warriors in his family line.
Richter is the strongest Belmont. Even at the point of 1948 during Portrait of Ruin, Richter is considered one of the Greatest Five, alongside Simon, Trevor, Leon, and Juste. He's still considered the strongest, only second to Julius Belmont.
