Nighttime horror mob addon that adds the Goatman Dweller — a relentless, blind-inducing creature that stalks and terrorizes players in forests and fields.

Goatman Dweller Description

The Goatman Dweller is a dark and eerie creature, a nightmare figure brought into the world to remind players that sometimes simple fear is the most effective. Unlike other dwellers that may use advanced states or clever AI, the Goatman is not smart, he is not complex, and he is not calculated. He is a simple dweller who chases you for nothing, and that makes him terrifying in its own way. His role in the world is to be the embodiment of dread. He does not need reasons, tricks, or strategies. When you see him, he will chase you. When he sees you, he will run you down. The encounter is direct, unavoidable, and unnerving.

Goatman is described as a half-man, half-goat figure with long, twisted horns, glowing eyes, and cloven hooves that strike the dirt like a drumbeat of fear. His torso resembles a gaunt human, but his face carries the twisted features of a goat. At night, when he spawns, you will see his silhouette between the trees, and your stomach will drop because you know what comes next. He will not wait. He will not hesitate. He will chase you.

Spotted

The first phase of the Goatman Dweller’s behavior is called Spotted. This happens the moment Goatman sees you or you see him. During this phase, Goatman will stop in place for 15 seconds. He will freeze his body, tilt his head unnaturally, and let out a Spotted sound. This sound is not a normal noise — it is a haunting bleat, almost human and animal mixed, a noise that echoes into the night and makes your skin crawl. While you hear this Spotted sound, Goatman gives you blindness. The blindness makes the world close in, and you cannot see the edges of your surroundings. The Spotted phase is not about damage, but about intimidation. You are forced to stand there, disoriented, while the Goatman waits. It is a long 15 seconds that feels like forever.

Gone

After the Spotted phase ends, Goatman switches to his second state: Gone. In this state, he disappears into shadow. It looks as if he has melted into the darkness, gone from your sight in an instant. But the danger is not over — it is only beginning. The moment Goatman goes into Gone, every player who is alive in the world is struck with blindness. This is not limited to the one who saw him. It affects everyone. The blindness spreads across all survivors like a curse, showing that Goatman’s presence is greater than one victim. He is a nightmare that touches all players at once. When the screen fades into black for everyone, the tension rises. You do not know where he will come back, or who he will go after first.

Attacks

When Goatman does attack, he does it simply and brutally. He runs directly at players and strikes. His attacks do not have to be flashy, because the effect they leave behind is enough. Every time Goatman lands a hit, the player receives 1 second of blindness in addition to the normal damage. This means every strike feels like a flash of pain that cuts out your vision. You are disoriented with each blow, stumbling in and out of darkness while trying to survive. It feels unfair, and that is intentional. Just like being sucker-punched by a bully in school for no reason, the attacks are blunt, cruel, and without warning. Goatman does not give you time to think. He just punishes you.

Behavior

Goatman’s behavior is not advanced. He does not stalk with intelligence. He does not trick players or use advanced patterns. He is not smart, and that is what makes him pure. Goatman is a simple dweller who will chase you for nothing. He does not have a reason, he does not have a plan, he just wants to run you down. His simplicity is his strength. Other creatures may feel like puzzles to solve, but Goatman feels like raw panic. When you hear him and when you see him, you know you are being hunted with no escape except running or fighting back.

Spawn Conditions

The Goatman Dweller only spawns at night. You will never see him during the day. His existence is tied to the darkness, and he emerges when the world is at its most vulnerable. Midnight forests, abandoned farms, and lonely fields are his home. When the light fades and the shadows grow long, Goatman appears. His cloven hooves strike the earth, and his glowing eyes peer out from between the trees. Night is his time, and no survivor can feel safe when the sun is gone.

Goatman’s design is meant to be simple but effective. Spotted makes you feel frozen and blind, Gone makes everyone suffer blindness, his attacks pile on more blindness, and his overall behavior is nothing more than chasing you endlessly. He is not a boss that requires strategy. He is not a puzzle. He is a nightmare given form. His role is to bring fear, confusion, and panic to any world he spawns in.
