Author: Jayly

The Jayly Cinematic Editor is a powerful tool for Minecraft Bedrock Edition (MCPE) players, offering precise control over in-game cinematics. Create professional machinimas, gameplay showcases, and storytelling scenes with an intuitive interface and lightweight performance.

Features

  • Custom camera angles and multi-camera setups for complex scenes.
  • Smooth transitions with adjustable ease types and ease time between keyframes.
  • Adjustable field of view (FOV) and zoom controls.
  • Create and manage multiple keyframes to define camera paths.
  • Export keyframes to the /camera command for use in command blocks and map-making.
  • All scene data is saved to the world (persistent between sessions).
  • Designed to integrate seamlessly with Bedrock Edition while remaining lightweight for low-end devices.

Similarities with ReplayMod

This cinematic editor follows a similar concept to ReplayMod (Minecraft: Java Edition) by allowing you to build camera paths from saved keyframes to produce cinematic footage.

Major Differences

  • Scenes are played in real time inside Minecraft (no in-game rewinding of past gameplay footage).
  • The export feature converts keyframe data into /camera commands so creators can reproduce camera paths with command blocks or in maps.
  • More easing options are provided, allowing for a variety of motion styles and more natural transitions in some scenes.

How It Works

The editor captures the player’s current coordinates and rotation when you press the Create Keyframe button. Saved keyframes appear in the stored keyframes dropdown and are used to generate camera paths.

When you click Run Timeline, the extension takes control of the camera and smoothly transitions along the generated path — provided there are saved keyframes in the world.

Note: The extension will only take control of the camera if there are stored keyframes available.

Additional Notes

  • Ease Time controls the duration between keyframes; Ease Type controls interpolation style.
  • Data is stored in the world, so your keyframes persist when leaving and rejoining.
  • Exported /camera commands make this tool useful for map-makers and creators who want reproducible camera paths.
