Expand your arsenal with maces crafted from every material!

Have you ever wanted more types of maces? If so, you'll love this add-on! The vanilla mace is a fantastic weapon, but why stop at just one? Maces Plus brings the full tool progression system to maces, giving you a complete lineup of these powerful weapons for every stage of your adventure.

This add-on adds maces made from all the materials used in other tools: Wooden, Stone, Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Netherite. Each mace features unique stats carefully balanced according to its material tier, ensuring that every mace has its place without overshadowing the others or making the vanilla mace obsolete.

Crafting Progression

Maces follow a logical upgrade path:

Wooden Mace: Crafted with 1 Stick + Any type of Log or Stem (Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Crimson, Warped)

Stone Mace: Crafted with 1 Stick + Any Chiseled Stone Brick variant (Chiseled Stone Bricks, Chiseled Polished Blackstone, or Chiseled Deepslate)

Copper, Iron, Gold, Diamond, and Netherite Maces: Require the Heavy Core in their recipes, making them direct upgrades from the vanilla mace

Dynamic Smash Damage

Each mace uses the same vanilla smash formula (first 3 blocks: +4 damage, next 5 blocks: +2 damage, beyond: +1 damage), but with damage multipliers adjusted to its material:

Mace Damage Multiplier % of Vanilla
Wooden Mace 0.4x 40%
Stone Mace 0.6x 60%
Copper Mace 1.2x 120%
Iron Mace 1.4x 140%
Gold Mace 1.4x 140%
Diamond Mace 1.8x 180%
Netherite Mace 2.0x 200%

Area of Effect Damage

Higher-tier maces deal area damage to nearby enemies:

Mace Area Damage % Damage Radius
Wooden Mace None -
Stone Mace None -
Copper Mace None -
Iron Mace 15% 2 blocks
Gold Mace 20% 3 blocks
Diamond Mace 25% 3.5 blocks
Netherite Mace 30% 4 blocks

Knockback Power

Heavier maces launch enemies farther:

Mace Knockback Multiplier % of Vanilla
Wooden Mace 0.5x 50%
Stone Mace 0.8x 80%
Copper Mace 1.2x 120%
Iron Mace 1.4x 140%
Gold Mace 1.4x 140%
Diamond Mace 1.8x 180%
Netherite Mace 2.0x 200%

Knockback Radius

The area affected by knockback scales with each mace:

Mace Knockback Radius
Wooden Mace 3 blocks
Stone Mace 4 blocks
Copper Mace 6 blocks (vanilla radius)
Iron Mace 6 blocks (vanilla radius)
Gold Mace 6 blocks (vanilla radius)
Diamond Mace 7 blocks
Netherite Mace 8 blocks

Full Enchantment Support

All maces support the same enchantments as the vanilla mace: Density, Breach, Smite, Bane of Arthropods, Fire Aspect, Unbreaking, Mending, Curse of Vanishing, and Wind Burst. Enchantments scale with each mace's material multiplier for consistent balance.

Unique Sounds

Each mace features its own distinct sound effects for air smashes, ground smashes, and heavy ground smashes, giving every weapon its own auditory identity.

Perfectly Balanced

Every mace has a purpose. The Wooden Mace is your early-game introduction to mace mechanics with low damage and knockback, crafted from any wood type. Stone provides a slight upgrade, crafted from chiseled stone variants. Copper offers superior damage compared to vanilla and serves as your first upgrade from the vanilla mace (requires Heavy Core). Iron serves as a reliable workhorse with 40% increased damage and area damage capability. Gold offers the same damage as Iron but with area damage and better enchantability. Diamond delivers 80% more damage, 180% knockback, and significant area damage. Netherite stands as the ultimate end-game powerhouse with 100% increased damage, 200% knockback, and the largest area damage radius.

Note: The Vanilla Mace is required as a crafting ingredient for all maces from Copper upwards, making the Heavy Core essential for progression!
