Random Loot Everywhere
Turn every mob death, block break—or both—into a one-item surprise.
Choose how random you want your world
Random Loot Everywhere is a Minecraft Bedrock behavior-pack add-on with three separate editions. Choose one edition for a world:
- Mobs Only: each non-player mob or animal death produces one random item. Block drops stay vanilla.
- Blocks Only: each block a player mines in Survival or Adventure produces one random item. Mob drops stay vanilla.
- Mobs + Blocks: enables both effects.
A random result is selected from the item types registered in the world, so the result can be a block, tool, food, or another registered add-on item. A flower might drop a log; a zombie might drop an emerald. The surprise is the point.
Requirements
- Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.0 or later.
- Enable the selected Behavior Pack in the world settings.
- The add-on uses the stable
@minecraft/servermodule version2.5.0; no Beta APIs or resource pack are required. - Cheats/commands are only needed if you want to use the optional in-world on/off commands.
Installation
- Import the
.mcpackedition you want into Minecraft Bedrock. - Open the target world's Settings → Behavior Packs → My Packs.
- Activate that edition and enter the world.
Use one edition at a time. Enabling multiple editions together can make drops duplicate or interfere with the saved gamerule values.
Toggle the add-on
After enabling commands in the world, run the command matching the edition:
- Mobs Only:
/scriptevent randomloot_mobs:on(enable) and/scriptevent randomloot_mobs:off(disable) - Blocks Only:
/scriptevent randomloot_blocks:onand/scriptevent randomloot_blocks:off - Mobs + Blocks:
/scriptevent randomloot_both:onand/scriptevent randomloot_both:off
off restores the relevant gamerule values that existed before that edition was activated. Run off before deactivating or removing the pack; Minecraft stores gamerules in the world.
Important behavior notes
- The Mobs and Mobs + Blocks editions turn off
doMobLootto replace vanilla mob loot. This also suppresses normal mob XP while the edition is on. - The Blocks and Mobs + Blocks editions turn off
doTileDrops. The random replacement is triggered by player block-breaking events; blocks destroyed by explosions, fire, or commands are not converted into random drops. - Creative-mode block breaking does not create random drops.
- Container contents can retain special vanilla behavior. Empty Shulker Boxes before breaking them while the add-on is enabled; their contents may be lost.
- Each supported death or player-mined block yields one item. Fortune and Silk Touch do not modify the random result.
