Bring your favorite fizzy drinks to Minecraft Bedrock — craft reusable 4-sip soda cans like Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Sprite and Energy Drinks, each granting unique status effects.
Soda in Minecraft: Meet the Soda Brands Add-On
Soda Brands is a Minecraft Bedrock add-on that turns soft drinks into craftable, reusable gameplay items. Make an iron can, choose a flavor, and drink it over four sips instead of using it all at once.
From Pepsi to Fanta
The add-on includes Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Grape Soda, Root Beer, and Energy Drink. Each drink has its own recipe and effect: Speed, Jump Boost, Haste, Night Vision, Resistance, or Speed II for the energy drink.
One can, four sips
Craft an empty iron can from five iron ingots arranged in a U shape. Combine it with sugar, gunpowder, and the flavor ingredient to make a drink. The built-in durability bar beneath the can icon tracks the four sips, moving from green toward red. After the final sip, one empty iron can is returned. Each flavor has one item type, and drinking does not drop extra full cans.
How it works
The drinks use Bedrock's standard food and durability components. A small script listens for completed drinking to apply the flavor effect and update the can in the player's inventory. It uses stable @minecraft/server 2.0.0, with no -beta dependency or Creator experiments.
Installation
- Open
soda-brands.mcaddonto import both packs. - Enable Soda Brands BP and Soda Brands RP in the world's settings.
- Keep the resource pack enabled for the branded icons and localized names.
- Craft the cans at a crafting table, or test them in Creative.
Script support for the stable Script API is required by the installed Bedrock version. Leave Beta APIs and Experiments off; this add-on does not depend on a
-betaAPI package.
Icon behavior
Each flavor has a distinctive color palette and can design. The vanilla durability bar under the icon tracks remaining sips. Bedrock does not dynamically swap an item's texture based on consumption without turning it into multiple internal item variants, so Soda Brands keeps one item type per flavor and uses the durability meter for the fill state.
FAQ
Do I need Beta APIs? No. The pack depends on stable @minecraft/server 2.0.0, not a -beta build.
Why are there two packs? The Behavior Pack defines items, recipes, and effects; the Resource Pack provides icons and names. The .mcaddon bundles both with matching UUID dependencies.
Does every fill level have a separate item? No. Each flavor is one item type; its durability bar shows the remaining sips.
What happens after the last sip? One empty iron can is returned.
Is this an official or sponsored product? No. This is an independent community project; brand names are used only to identify familiar soda-inspired flavors.
