The Hunger Rework!

Minecraft’s hunger system, while a core part of the game, often feels tedious and underdeveloped. The Hunger Rework is an addon that completely replaces the hunger and food system of Minecraft with a stamina bar instead. The player now gains saturation naturally over time, but sprinting drains it much faster than before. Food has been split into six types: Raw Meat and Fish, Cooked Meat and Fish, Crops, and Baked Goods. Eating any food will automatically reset the bar, and the player gains certain effects depending on the type of food eaten. The time to eat, nutrition, and stack size also depends on a food’s type. While it is no longer essential to collect food, the bonus effects and saturation they give really helps the player when fighting, exploring, and playing in general.
*Not all food items have been assigned a type yet. Unassigned foods act as they would normally.
