Arkcraft 5.2: Ark Addon

Thumbnail: Arkcraft 5.2: Ark Addon Go to files

This amazing addon for Minecraft adds dinosaurs based on the famous Ark video game.

Throughout this year I worked on this update that you are seeing now, in which I reworked ALL the mobs of the addon, visually improved the majority that were already outdated, and eliminated some that I could not repair or were not worth it (But they can come back just like the Direwolf came back!) but... I finally feel calm knowing that they will be able to play the mod once it is stable, fun, and with a lot of new content, like MANY new tools and more fun and unique creatures.

Whoever is going to download this addon/mod, I love you so much, and thanks for giving it a try! <3

IMPORTANT: THE LITE VERSION HAS ONLY ARK CONTENT, AND THE FULL VERSION HAS EVERYTHING IN THE MOD, INCLUDING ARK MOD CREATURES, ATLAS WEAPONS, AND EXTRA CREATURES.
For the moment, the lite version stays on pause!

-ITEMS-

First we need to see the 2 tables of the mod, where you will craft all the items:

New Crafting Tables: Screenshot

Smithy Crafting Table

Smithy Crafting Table Items

Narcoberry Crops

The most important crafting item of the mod, because with it you can craft narcotic bowls for kibbles and narcotic arrows.

Narcoberry Crops: Screenshot

Okay, after speaking about the tables, now it's time for the items:

Taming Items

Taming Items

Tame Guide: Screenshot

  • Tame Guide: When you use it, the chat will display how to tame the mobs within a 30-block range.
  • Narcotics have two uses: to make narcotic arrows and to create kibbles.
  • Kibbles are available for carnivores, insectivores, herbivores, and piscivores. These are the main food for sleeping creatures. Once an animal falls asleep, you must feed it the corresponding food, usually a kibble. In the smithy crafting table, you can see how to make them (or, failing that, buy them from the Tamer villager).
  • Narcotic Arrows are ammunition for ARK Crossbows, ARK Bows, and ARK Rifles, used to put creatures to sleep so they can be tamed. DON'T FORGET TO PUT THEM IN YOUR SECOND HAND!!!
  • Bola works like a one-arrow-only narcotic bow, and it doesn’t need ammo.
  • On the Narcotic-Arrow shooters, we have:
    • ARK Bow: Long recoil and weak.
    • ARK Crossbow: Normal recoil.
    • ASCENDANT ARK Crossbow: Fastest recoil.
    • Hunt Rifle: If you wear full leather armor, it will shoot with long recoil, but you will become invisible for a few seconds.
  • Stimulant: Did a dinosaur of yours accidentally fall asleep? Or did you put the wrong creature to sleep? No problem! Use this item nearby to wake it up and give it a small buff.
Whips

Whips: Screenshot

  • You have the wood, iron, diamond, and netherite tiers.
  • To attack from above a creature, as in Ark, you must use the whip, which, when used, will make the dinosaur perform its attack or special ability (or both).
  • The wooden whip, when used, will give you weakness and has little durability.
  • The netherite whip provides resistance to the dino.
  • Other whips no longer give you weakness. Each one has higher durability, and just like in Ark, they will attract nearby loose objects from the ground. (The better the whip, the further away it will attract them)
Sickles

Sickles

  • Sickles are tools that transform objects into others:
    • Grass into sweet berries.
    • Sweet berries into narcotic berries.
    • Wheat into string.
  • The higher the quality of the sickle (Iron, Diamond, or Netherite), the greater the benefits, and the cooldown will be shorter.
  • Attacking on a Parasaur or Thery with one of these items in your inventory works as if you were using a sickle.
  • These sickles can be equipped on a Moschops to collect narcotic berries from yellow flowers and to make the creature deal more damage when attacking.
Weapons - Tools

New Tools

  • Thery Hand (Hoe): It’s a 3x3 hoe.
  • Estemenosuchus Shovel: It’s a 3x3 shovel.
  • TEK Drill: A next-to-netherite tier pickaxe. If you press the screen/right-click with an Oil Gallon/Gasoline in your inventory, you will get steam.
  • TEK Claws: A next-to-netherite tier sword. If you press the screen/right-click with another TEK Claw in your second hand, you will enter berserker mode, gaining strength, jump boost, and speed.
  • Santiago's Axe: Functions like an iron sword but with worse durability. If you press the screen/right-click, it performs an area attack that damages wild dinos only.
  • Sinomacrops Feather (Backpack): It’s a bundle with a "UwU" Sinomacrops 3D skin on your back, providing slow falling.
  • Hook and Grappling: Like in ARK, you can travel anywhere with a sticky-like hook. It’s very fun!

Fishing Net and Fishing Spear

  • Fishing Net: Fish and small aquatic creatures within a wide range will teleport to you, at which point a web will be placed, trapping them inside.
    • If you want to catch them in a bucket, you should use this item.
  • Fishing Spear: At medium range, all fish or small sea creatures will teleport to you, taking damage.
    • If you want to farm the loot of these creatures, use this item.
    • When used while mounting an Irritator, this creature will gain additional damage.

Clubs

Clubs:

The mod adds 3 clubs:

  • Wooden club, which puts very small, small, and medium creatures to sleep. A good early game tool when you don't have narcotic arrows and want to put your first easy creature to sleep.
  • Ascending wooden club, the same as the common one but with a better chance of putting creatures to sleep.
  • Electric garrote, which can sleep ANY MOD CREATURE, but the big ones are put to sleep after A LOT of hits.

Flaregun

Flaregun:

It is a tool that, when used, shoots fireworks up into the air. When used twice in a row, ALL PLAYERS in an area of 500 blocks will automatically turn to face the player who shot.

Thermal Wool

Thermal Wool:

Simply use it to open eggs of creatures like Deinonychus or Rock Drake. Obtained by feeding a tame Dimetrodon wool.

Shotgun

Shotgun:

A weapon that consumes iron nuggets as ammunition. It has a large area of damage, but the further away the target is, the less damage it generates, and the closer it is, the more damage it will do. Do not use it with a shield in hand, or you will destroy it by mistake.

Starter Box

Starter Box:

By giving a block of earth to a Tamer, he will give you a box with a "Starter Kit" to survive easier in the mod, but each player can only open one per world!

Maces and Sabers

Maces and Sabers:

The mod adds 3 maces (iron, diamond, and netherite), which generate damage in the area, and when used, generate a passive knockback on the player and creature, which increases according to its quality.

In the same way, the mod adds 3 sabers of the same materials, which also have this "damage in area" that simulates the one of Java Edition.

Creature Tools

Creature Tools

Spikes: Screenshot

Iron Spikes: Screenshot

  • Spike and iron one: It’s like in Ark; a wall that does damage to nearby mobs (players too).
  • Aggressive Incense Pot: Nearby tamed creatures will become aggressive and go into wandering.
    • Wild creatures will get nausea, darkness, blindness, and slowness.
  • Chill Incense Pot: Nearby tamed creatures will sit down and go into neutral.
    • Wild creatures will get weakness.
    • If you use it near Lymantrias, they will stop flying.
  • Following Horn: Creatures tamed at medium range will begin to follow their owners.
    • Please try not to sound this instrument near your friends' creatures, as you will not be able to seat them.
    • If you use it after the aggressive incense, aggressive creatures will follow you. If you use it after the chill incense, neutral creatures will follow you.
  • Oil Pot: Using it burns nearby wild creatures, but using it next to a furry mammal (or very feathered dinosaur like Yuty or temperature-related creatures like Ouranosaurus, tamed too), that creature will gain wither, slowness, weakness, and can spread fire when walking.
    • It was planned as an early-game counter against Thylas and Yutyrannus.
    • When used while mounting an Irritator, creatures will get poisoned.
  • Meat Pot: When used, nearby "Smallest" category creatures will gain regeneration, resistance, and strength for a short time.
    • If you have an army of Wakaleos or Armadillosuchus, they will be invincible!
  • Mammalian Milk: By giving quartz to a Macrauchenia, you will receive a little mammalian milk in return. Drinking it will give the player some food and saturation, but drinking it next to a furry mammal (or very feathered dinosaur like Yuty or temperature-related creatures like Ouranosaurus) will cause both you and that creature to gain speed, jump boost, and strength for a few seconds.

Spoiling Bin and Feeding Trough: Screenshot

  • Spoiling bin: Nearby players with meat in their inventory will see it become rotten flesh over time.
  • Feeding trough: Add sweet berries to heal nearby herbivores and add meat to heal nearby carnivores. Do it daily!
Saddles, Platform and Dino-Bag

Saddles, Platform and Dino-Bag

Each mob will need a corresponding mount according to their diet or size, which are:

  • Medium carnivora
  • Medium herbivore
  • Large carnivora
  • Large herbivore
  • Fantasia
  • Insectivore
  • Flying

In addition to these, you will have:

  • The platform, which works for a couple of creatures.
  • The backpack, which, when put on some creatures, will add an inventory to them.
  • The armor attachment accessory, which, on mobs like the thorny or Shantungosaurus, will add an "extra mount" with special abilities.
Armor

Armor: Screenshot

Armor Items

  • Shadowmane: This armor is obtained by killing Shadowmane, so we recommend using looting. It is obtained fully enchanted, but its strength is between iron and diamond.
  • Dessert: An armor slightly worse than iron, very easy to create, with a future use.
  • Pelt: An armor slightly worse than iron, very easy to create, with a future use.
  • Armadillosuchus shell: Slightly worse than netherite pants, but it can also be used as a backpack.
  • Dodo Disguise: ??? is a secret.
  • Longuiquama: Only cosmetic; it is destroyed with even one damage.
Food

  • Mawsonia: Mid-tier food.
  • Wyvern milk: Like vanilla milk.
  • Escargot slime: Provides regeneration and a bit of nausea.

Mobs and items at the same time

Mobs and items at the same time

  • Poisonous Ammonite: If you put it on the grill next to a stick, you will get a lot of narcotics!
  • Normal Ammonite: Nothing relevant, but remember you can turn it into a poisonous one.
  • Tanyrichthys: Works like a charcoal farm.
  • HLNA: It follows you and has a few secrets...
  • Trilobite: Nothing relevant.
  • Mawsonia: A good item to sell to the Trader Villager.

-MOBS-

Something I'm proud of about the mod is that all the mobs have between 4 and 12 different textures, which we call "Variants" some of which can glow in the dark, imitating the aberrant dinosaurs of Ark. I will show you here all the variants of the velociraptor, but the ones of the other mobs you must look for by playing the addon!

Tamer NPC - Mod Villager

Mod Villager

This "NPC," so to speak, will spawn in the world accompanied by his partner, the Blue Galveosaurus, which is a friendly baby of the species and will give you the most rage when playing, hahaha.

The utility of this NPC is to easily obtain objects from the mod if you find the mechanics difficult to understand, although sometimes some items may cost you a little more than they should. Killing him will give you decent loot, but be careful, he is a master of combat! And remember, if you give him a shovel, he will become a normal villager. Use this to start your village!
