This addon is inspired by The Last Of Us and focuses more on Cordyceps and expands the infected into unique variants. New adventures, new infected, new dangers and new structures AND CITIES.
To survive in this world plagued by cordyceps you must be cunning, know how to hide and attack at the right time. Once you appear, try to find a base, since darkness will be your greatest enemy. THE INFECTED APPEAR IN EXTREME DARKNESS. ISN'T IT INCREDIBLE?

JIGSAW STRUCTURES:
Cities have completely changed! They're now generated when you create the world, and they're also heavier because of it. Thanks to the "Jigsaw Structures" experiment, you'll need to activate it to enjoy the following structures.
The largest structures in the addon, which can take up to 128x128 blocks, are made up of smaller structures (highways, streets, buildings, and decorations). There is so much variety in each one that it will be impossible to find cities that look the same!
Cities are generated in JUNGLES, PLAINS, ICE PLAINS, BEACHES AND DESERTS!!! The iconic part of a city is the center... right? Well, in the center of cities you can find the "mega structures", a name that stayed from the 2023 updates (that's how old some of these structures are), therefore there are VARIANTS OF CITIES!!
TURN UP THE VOLUME!! Cities have particles and ambient sounds!!! Taken from THE LAST OF US itself.
You'll be able to see everything you'd expect from a surface city: tall buildings (more so than other city variants), sleeping infected, not-so-friendly NPCs, abandoned vehicles, and more, with basic loot.
Perhaps the most iconic, the Capitol from The Last of Us Part 1!!! Although clearly much smaller for the sake of your device, it doesn't have much loot, but the nostalgia is strong, right?
A huge shopping mall looted to the max... at least there's some resources, right? I've always fantasized about living in a shopping mall during an apocalypse. I hope it doesn't actually happen, haha. Watch out for sleepyheads! Later, in the newly infected section, you'll find out why!
A veteran structure of CORDYCEPS ADDON, it has a varied loot and a very powerful weapon hidden in... WELL!!! You'll have to find out, I'll just say that it's the most powerful weapon in the addon.
The twin sister of the previous one, although without the maximum attribute, but they are still a good alternative to explore if you are a lover of danger and resources.
This hospital has aged quite well, in its underground parts is the feared RAT KING, an infected person made up of several infected people, how disgusting!!
In my opinion, the best structure in the cities, since you can turn it into your survival bases!!! It's the hospital where Ellie was taken and eventually rescued by Joel. It has many "firefly NPC" generators and a very large structure. You just need to bring a haha and redstone to repair all the lights in the place.
If the previous one was the best, then this one is my favorite. In this one you can find the maximum boss of the addon "HARVESTER MULTI INFECTED CORDYCEPS", well it is not surrounded by buildings or streets. And the loot is the most op of the addon

You can locate structures with the following command:
"/locate structure xaierg:city" 80% of the time it gives you the exact location of a city.
Forget about the complications of activating blocks, now everything is automatic!! But why would you want to go to a sewer that looks more like a cave!? Well, in it you will find SACRIFICES!! Well, I wasn't going to say that, YOU WILL FIND POWDER DEBRIS!! Throughout the sewer, you can find between 0-6 gunpowder items, it is the only way to get gunpowder to make ammunition since there are obviously no creepers!! Remember to bring your spore filter, torches, and defense
Just be very careful and be well equipped, not many have returned alive from those structures.
It's basically a custom test chamber! Although more dangerous, with hidden lore behind it, I'll tell you more below.

In the hallways and rooms, you can find "Cordyceps Corrupted Cores" embedded in the ground. It's up to you to activate them by interacting. This will spawn 6 infected, mostly "Necrocordyceps," a race of infected.

If you defeat 4 infected, the corrupted core will die and drop the special lab loot: "Anti-Cordyceps Core Fragments," "Anti-Cordyceps Core Activator," and "Incectoid Body," all of which are important crafting items.
The Anti-Cordyceps Core will create a safe zone in your base. It's activated with a compressed fungicide bomb. Each activation will kill infected within a 16x16 radius, deal 25x25 damage, and deactivate cordyceps blocks within a 30x30 radius. The ideal weapon for defending your base.
LORE:
In the last bastions of science, hope was fading. Scientists were on the verge of finding a cure for cordyceps, but desperation, hunger, and fear drove them mad one by one. Test subjects began to become their friends, and the experiments became increasingly atrocious. The last sane soldiers tried to act using a weapon under development, "the ANTI-CORDYCEPS CORE," but it was too late for them. The quasi-cure had made them partially immune to the fungus, but it didn't stop it completely. They succumbed to its influence, starting a cult. They began executing heretics and trying to create a wife for their new father... that's why so many women were resting in the halls. Eventually, the cordyceps corrupted the cores, turning them into ungrateful guardians of a light of hope that had already been extinguished. And what happened to the cult? SPAWN:
CORDYCEPS ADDON IS HARDER NOW, the infected can come out during the day too (in smaller numbers than at night), don't worry, you will appear in a small bunker, with some resources to survive and escape from there, check every corner as there are 3 special items in it
UPGRADE HEALTH LEVEL 1-10

NEW INFECTEDS:
Sleep stalkers are a variant of prestallers. They have the same function: if you get close, they'll wake up, but they will do so in groups. They have two types: one that is melee-based and another that attacks from a distance with acid.

This second type can become a muted embryo (yes, another infected person from this peculiar family, a product of my dixlexia). The embryo is shaped like an egg that explodes, from which a more aggressive and stronger version emerges.
This sometimes doesn't die, but continues to mutate, lying on the ground and sprouting wings. Now, it will attack you from the air. This flying version can drop fragments of its wings on you. Yes, as you can imagine, they could be used to craft something that will make you float. CHECK THE CRAFT TABLE! ;)
These wings are an entity that you must feed so that it lets you float (if you can only go up) then dismount since you will have a feather fall and the entity will fall with you, being able to carry it in your inventory when it is deactivated by hitting it.
After more than 50 days of playing, the patroller bloater may appear and arrive as if it were a missile... where did it come from or who sent it? The fact is that it generates hordes of infected, you should prepare yourself since its arrival is inevitable.
A powerful Bloater inspired by the one that appears in episode 5 of The Last of Us. A few hits from this one will be enough to finish you off, and it can generate a lot of luck for Hunger Clickers if one appears.
This strangely shaped flower is part of the Patroller Bloater's war arsenal, although it can appear independently. When defeated, it will leave its fragments with which you can craft a cordyceps grenade launcher weapon.

SPORES:
The spore stump now EMITS SPORES if there are players nearby and can transform infected mobs into cordyceps. Remember to bring a spore filter on your adventures as you will find many of them in structures, you can burn them as they become very flammable.

A phase before the stalker or the clicker? CLICKER GROUNDER:
This clicker is native to cold biomes but has been seen elsewhere, did it come out of a refrigerator perhaps? These infected remain hidden underground looking for prey. They appear from day 4 in cold biomes

ROTTEN CLICKER:
This clicker appears mostly in jungles, swamps and mangroves, also in the rest of the overworld but with less probability, they will give you poison when attacking, BE CAREFUL

SHAMBLER:
Rotten clickers can turn into Shamblers, which can attack you with acid spores (it will give you poison). They appear in humid environments although they have been seen roaming in other places.

BLOATER:
Clickers that have lived a long time, they are the fourth stage of the infection, they have melee and ranged attack, so take cover. Bill would like to kill one perhaps? And biology class?

RAT KING:
Without a doubt one of the most anticipated infected by those who follow this addon. They will appear exclusively in hospitals that can appear in cities, their armored version will arrive soon
It has two phases
In the first one it will be somewhat slower and clumsier, it has an attack of acid spores
In the second phase, a Stalker will be released, it will be faster and its spore attack will do more damage and will be more frequent
So much life makes you question if it's worth facing it.

STALKER RAT KING:
This stalker was separated from the rat King, it has a ranged and melee attack, it runs away from you if you hurt it, it becomes resistant to damage
COW MUTAND:
By killing many infected cows there is a chance that this boss will appear, it will summon cows and clickers.
DRYGING CLICKER:
These clickers are from hot and dry biomes, like deserts and savannahs, fast and fierce, no one wants to go to those biomes because of them, it can appear in the nether.
BURSTER CLICKER:
This is an explosive variant, when it dies it will explode and give a wither effect to anyone who does not have an anti-spore filter, it can appear in the nether.
STRONGLER:
It brings back the design of the first shambler, with improvements obviously, it serves as a guardian in mega structures since it has a lot of resistance like rocks, as it was described by the first youtubers who saw it

TOCON CORDYCEPS:
This infected has its meaning of life in dying, preferably in the hands of other blind infected, its function is to be a seed and generate clusters of cordyceps, and thus generate more stumps, the clickers and other blind infected will attack it, preferably you should burn them, they are very sensitive to fire and prevent your base from having cumulus clouds nearby.
It has a variant called “blooder” that works the same but this variant does not have a specific function yet.

SOWERS:
the sowers are the bosses that you will see the most in the addon, they will rarely be able to leave blocks that the clickers leave when they die; Theywill have a melee attack and from a distance they will launch balls of spores that can explode if they touch the ground. Upon receiving damage, this infected will randomly leave cordyceps blocks and will be able to defend itself by generating infected (stalkers, clickers, muti infected, multi stalkers). rotten variant which is stronger and more likely to leave stumps (entity), and will leave the clicker rotten variants more often thus fulfilling its sower name
CLEAWER:
This infected person has the function of generating a flower of spores, which will protect the infected within an area, with a behavior similar to the sower, it is best not to kill it;
This may emerge from a block left by the muted cordyceps when they die.
HARVESTER:
This is the most recent boss, and the most powerful infected of the addon for now, you will find him sleeping in military airports, (this structure can be generated in cities or with the city generating block directly with low probability.
It has different types of attacks at a distance, in the area and generating infected.
Said boss will leave as a reward when you die the “BREASTPLATE HARVESTER”, a shell that will give you a strength effect if you wear it, although it is not repairable; In its first phase it will have all of his attacks, in its second phase it loses its arm and only attacks from a distance but frantically and has a greater probability of generating infected.

DAICO HUNGER:
This infected is exclusive to HARVESTER which can be invoked in its attacks, it can fly and there are usually three of them together, you will not see it anywhere else in the world
SHAMMER:This infected person hides, drawing the player's attention, imitating the sound of the NPC, and will emerge to attack you when you are close.
SCREAMER:The Screamer will appear the same as the stalkers but with a smaller number, it is fearful and if it detects prey nearby or is damaged, it will scream and summon 3 child clickers, and then they will flee and return to you like the stalkers.
EPIDEMIOLOGIST:practically a stalker, with more strength and gives poison when attacking you and if it is faster, it will sometimes hide from you
THIS IS MY FAVORITE PART:
The Muteds are a sub-race of infection, their genome is a mystery, some believe it is due to the influence of another pathogen, a pagan cult or as biological weapons.
Characterized by forcing metamorphosis in the infected, their jaws develop and their teeth become prominent, if they had eyes they will become dark or fly-like, extreme speed and similar sounds. Convergent evolution? They will mostly give darkness effect when attacking.
MUTED CORDYCEPS:
The one who started this race produces an embryo of this from a block that can be left by stalkers with a low probability when they die.

Appears as the muted cordyceps in early versions, from a normal nightmare eliminated by a player. And it is also generated in certain structures

TOCON TREE :
Perhaps the most dangerous and interesting thing about cordyceps in this addon, it can expand and eat the world, generates different blocks of cordyceps, summons a wide range of infected to defend itself, highly dangerous when stepped on, its weakness is fire or right. -clicking (also the fungicide bomb see below), is a perfect organism that will grow without any form corrupting the world, it comes to summon stumps that will spread the stump to other more distant places. These can grow forming fungal mounds, although most of the time they do not do so as much.
MUTED TOCON:
This block will be dropped with low probability by the stalkers, who after a while will produce an embryo of Cordyceps MUTED.
DEAD CORDYCEPS: When Cordyceps blocks become inert due to a fungicide bomb.
TOCON SOWER:
The clickers will leave this block with low probability which will cause a seeder to emerge after a while.
TOCON CLEAWER:
The Muted Cordyceps will leave this block with a low probability, which will cause a Cleawer to emerge after a while.
FLOWER SPORE:
the spore flower is born after the death of a "cleawer"
This will emit giant spores into the sky, contaminating an area of 60 blocks with cordyceps, giving the infected maximum regeneration and extreme strength, while players will be affected with negative effects depending on the distance they are from the flower. Normal "fungicide bombs" do not deactivate the flower, you must make a "compressed fungicide bomb".

The spore blocks have a new function, rarely they will have the probability of generating a CORDYCEPS NEST, which has a flower that generates hordes of infected one to two times a day, to deactivate it you must throw a compressed fungicide bomb at the flower it has the nest, or you can wait a few days for it to deactivate itself, if you survive of course.
