Atmospheric Sounds is a Minecraft addon designed to add to the soundscape of the game with a wider variety of ambient sounds.

Video Showcase

Features

  • Players will hear ambient sounds depending on the biome they´re in, as well as the time of day.
  • Ambient sounds will become muffled when players are in-doors or underwater.
  • Additional ambience was added to certain environments like villages and caves.

Configuration

This addon is easy to set up with the settings item you get when you first join the world. Using it opens a menu where you can adjust the ambient sound volume just for yourself. Each player can set their own volume or turn it off without affecting others.

Achievements

As of Minecraft version 1.21.70, this addon can be used in a world without achievements being disabled, thanks to a change made in this version. However, there have been statements suggesting that addons not disabling achievements is intended to be Marketplace exclusive, and this feature might be removed from addons published outside the Marketplace. As of right now it´s still unsure if this change will be done, but keep it in mind for future versions.
