Unlike smaller dwellers that only chase and vanish, the Dweller King commands fear through power and presence. This addon is balanced to make your world harder, not just scarier. Every attack from the Dweller King inflicts blindness, forcing players into the unknown as they struggle to survive in the darkness. His mechanics blend surprise, danger, and challenge, ensuring that every encounter feels unique and unforgettable.

Features of the Dweller King

Blindness on Attack

Every single hit from the Dweller King inflicts blindness. This disorients you, limits your vision, and prevents easy escapes. Battles against him are never straightforward — you’ll have to fight while nearly blind, making teamwork and preparation essential.

Spotted

When the Dweller King spots you, he freezes in place for 10 seconds. This moment feels unnerving, as he lets out a loud, unexpected scary sound that echoes across the area. The freeze is not mercy — it is intimidation. Once he finishes his frozen stare, he rushes forward with even greater speed. Players nearby will immediately feel the pressure to act before he resumes his deadly chase.

Gone

After successfully killing a player, the Dweller King uses his terrifying “Gone” ability. He vanishes instantly into the shadows, and all nearby players are struck with blindness. Unlike normal dwellers, his vanish is a tactical retreat. This forces survivors to regroup carefully, knowing he can reappear without warning. His disappearance is not safety — it’s the calm before another storm.

Harder, Not Just Scarier

The Dweller King is not designed purely to be scary. Instead, he exists to make your Minecraft world harder. His effects and abilities increase the difficulty of every night, every cave adventure, and every fight. Your survival experience will become more intense, requiring new strategies and more caution.

Survival Challenge

Spawns naturally at night or in dark environments.
Does not burn in sunlight.
Health and damage are higher than normal dwellers.

Installation Tutorial (Bedrock / Pocket Edition)

Requirements

Minecraft Bedrock or Pocket Edition (1.19 – 1.21)
File manager app (for manual installs)

Included Files

dweller_king.mcaddon (contains both resource pack + behavior pack)
README_modbay.txt (optional notes and tweaks)

Steps to Install

Download the ModBay .mcaddon package.
Tap or double-click the file. Minecraft will automatically launch and import both the behavior pack and resource pack at once.
Once imported, open Settings → Storage in Minecraft to confirm the packs were added.
Create or edit a world.
Under World Options, turn on Experimental Features (important for behavior packs).
Add the Dweller King packs under both Behavior Packs and Resource Packs.
Start the world. You can spawn him with his egg (Creative Mode) or allow him to spawn naturally at night in Survival.

Troubleshooting

If the .mcaddon import fails, rename the file to .zip and extract it. Place the folders manually:

behavior_packs → into games/com.mojang/behavior_packs
resource_packs → into games/com.mojang/resource_packs

Reopen Minecraft, then activate the packs in your world settings.

Tips for Survival Against the Dweller King

Never travel alone at night. Blindness makes solo survival almost impossible.
Carry milk buckets — they can remove blindness in emergencies.
Use ranged weapons like bows or crossbows; melee is dangerous when vision is gone.
Light up your area — the Dweller King spawns in darkness. Torches and lanterns lower the risk.
Coordinate attacks with friends; one can distract while others attack from range.
