Weather and Tornadoes Add-On
Go to files
Adds realistic weather, multi-stage tornadoes, weather radar, sensors, new items and a mini-boss to Minecraft Bedrock — a beta port of Corosus's Weather2 (requires experimental gameplay).
Weather and Tornadoes is a Bedrock add-on inspired by Corosus's Weather2 for Java. It brings enhanced weather systems, items, tornadoes with stages, a weather radar, sensors, and a mini-boss. This is a beta port and may have bugs.
Use /weather:guide to display a list of all weather commands. In the Items section you will find a Weather Menu item that uses a diamond texture.

Tornado
Tornadoes are a core feature of this add-on: rapidly rotating columns of air that form from storms and can lift entities, damage terrain, and interact with other systems. Tornadoes have stages from 1 to 6; their strength depends on atmospheric conditions such as pressure, temperature, humidity, and wind events.
Tornado Stage 1
Tornado Stage 1 is a water tornado (waterspout). It forms during early storm stages and typically dissipates when it touches land. It won't destroy blocks but can lift mobs and players caught in its path.
Tornado Stage 2
Stage 2 is a weak tornado with a relatively narrow radius and lower damage output. It can still pull in entities and destroy blocks beneath it, so caution is advised.
Tornado Stage 3
Stage 3 is a fairly powerful tornado with a larger damage radius and strong pulling force. These form during Storm Stage 3 and can appear suddenly.
Tornado Stage 4
Stage 4 is a powerful tornado that requires low pressure, high temperature, and high humidity. It has a large damage area and strong traction.
Tornado Stage 5
Stage 5 is among the strongest tornadoes, with a large damage radius and very powerful pulling force. It appears in Storm Stage 5 under extreme atmospheric conditions.
Tornado Stage 6
Stage 6 is the most destructive tornado in this add-on. Its damage radius and pulling power greatly exceed Stage 5—capable of lifting entities hundreds of blocks. (This stage was removed in the original mod but reintroduced here.)
To reduce lag, tornado widths and particle effects were adjusted compared to the original.

Storm
Storms drive tornado formation and have stages 1 through 6. The storm stage directly influences the tornado stage produced.
Stage 1 - "Drizzle Puff"
Stage 1 produces rain and blue weather fog and can generate a Stage 1 tornado.
Stage 2 - "Sparkle Rumble"
Stage 2 is a thunderstorm with fog tuned to match vanilla visuals. This stage can lead to Stage 2 tornadoes.
Stage 3 - "Grumpy Cloudy"
Stage 3 is similar to Stage 2 (thunder), but with fog colors closer to the sky—can produce Stage 3 tornadoes.
Stage 4 - "Angry Storm"
Stage 4 increases lightning frequency and can produce Stage 4 tornadoes under the right conditions.
Stage 5 - "Menace Muffin"
Stage 5 brings dense dark gray fog, heavy lightning, and can spawn Stage 5 tornadoes.
Stage 6 - "The End"
Stage 6 is an extreme thunderstorm with very dark fog, intense lightning, and capable of producing Stage 6 tornadoes.

If you play survival with this add-on, enable debug info via Weather Command or tags:
/tag @s add debug_info
This shows tornado potential. The system is still in beta and may be inaccurate. If you experience lag, consider running the add-on in a super flat world. Weather Radar has been reimplemented with a new system.

Blocks
The add-on adds several functional blocks for detecting and responding to tornadoes and weather events.
Tornado Sensor
The Tornado Sensor generates a redstone signal when a tornado is within a 128-block radius.
Tornado Siren
The Tornado Siren emits a siren sound when a tornado is detected within ~128 blocks (or more depending on settings).
Weather Radar
Weather Radar detects nearby tornadoes and measures pressure, humidity, temperature, and wind angle; it notifies you when a tornado approaches.

Recipe
Crafting visuals for some blocks are included below.

Mini Boss
This add-on includes a mini-boss called the Fire Worm. In the original mod it could only move and turn into fire; in this port the worm is presented as a model-based entity that disappears at random times and can shoot fire blocks at players.

Notes
THIS ADD-ON IS STILL IN BETA — EXPECT BUGS. EXPERIMENTAL FEATURES MUST BE ENABLED.
Some features were adapted from Corosus's Weather2 mod. This port aims to reproduce many original mechanics while adapting systems to Bedrock constraints. If you notice issues or have feedback, please include details about your Minecraft version and world setup when reporting bugs.
