About The Mod
Dragon Mounts 3 is a sequel to Dragon Mounts 2 which has fewer dragons but is more magic-focused. The features are currently a work in progress, so expect major changes.
Dragon Mounts 3: Revision is a community version of DM3 that is intended to fill the gap between now and the release of the new version of Dragon Mounts 3. This pack will keep being worked on until there is an official release.
- Publisher Note: Myro has permission to share it freely and make changes if necessary, but it is still DM3. All questions regarding copying and usage are as in the original.
Disclaimer
This is not related to Dragon Mounts 2, which is a similar add-on in terms of features and content.
Dragon Mounts 2 is an official work by Tomanex, JDSKoala, and the Dragon Mounts Team.
Their official Dragon Mounts add-on can be found here if you are interested in their respectful work:
- MCPEDL: https://mcpedl.com/dragon-mounts-2/
- CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft-bedrock/addons/dragon-mounts-2
The above listed facts are the reason why I won't be responsible if it isn't compatible with any new releases, but I will keep it as close as possible to version 1.4.26 in hopes that it will be compatible.
How To Play
Many features are subject to change, as most of these are from Dragon Mounts 2.
- This addon adds 15 pet-like dragons, 4 different dragon armors, 13 new player armor sets, and 13 player swords/tools.
Dragon Eggs
After finding a dragon egg (see below for more information on how to obtain), it needs to be mined and then can be placed down anywhere. To start the hatching process, the player needs to interact (no special item), but the appearance doesn't change. After around 40 minutes, a baby dragon hatches, or alternatively, it can be sped up with ender eyes.
Adult Dragons
- The baby dragon can then be tamed with fish (salmon or cod) and will slowly grow (the alternative is to feed more fish).
- When the dragon is an adult, it can be saddled and is rideable. To start flying, push the jump button/key and the dragon will orient itself based on the player's line of sight.
- When the dragon is flying, the player can interact with it using a blaze rod or a bottle of dragon breath (can also be obtained by interacting with the dragon while holding a bottle) to shoot a fireball/breath attack.
Dragon Scales + Player Equipment and Armor
- Dragon scales can be obtained by shearing an adult dragon with diamond shears (except for wither and skeleton dragons). The dragon will take a bit of damage that will regenerate later, and the shearing has a cooldown. With the scales and a crafting table, the player can craft tools/armor the same way as they would using, for example, iron. Note that per recipe only one type of scales can be used (for example, only water dragon scales).
Dragon Armor
- Dragons can wear iron/gold/emerald/diamond dragon armor that can be crafted inside the crafting table.
Dragons
Aether Dragon
- The Aether Dragon Egg can be found inside Aether Dragon nests.
- These nests spawn in the overworld high up in the air.
- More info will be moved to CurseForge/MCPEDL soon...
