You might remember the Knocker, that ominous dude who is known for his suspicious behaviors and interest in disturbing people at home by knocking on doors and windows. This addon expends on that AI.

Development note:

The knocker is originally made by M_Productions!

Credit goes to him for coming up with the origin of this cool, ominous character!

Although taking inspiration from the Knocker because he is very cool!

I massively expanded on His AI and behavior for this Bedrock Remake!

I really enjoy to experiment with making super lifelike AI for various custom Minecraft entities!

The Knocker was a really nice concept to practice my coding on!

So I made this Unique Knocker AI completely for fun!

Just for people to enjoy and have a unique (scary) experience in Minecraft!

This addon might expand as far as I see fit for cool, scary concepts!

Some tips though:

  • He randomly spawns at night time,
  • He usually operates at night time,
  • He can learn to mess with you at day time too,
  • Never look HIM straight into HIS eyes! To prevent a conflict with an entity you probably can't defeat,
  • He has unique AI (it's intentionally made inconsistent to simulate a player like behavior),
  • Even though it's tempting to kick HIS ass, I strongly recommend either avoiding or ignoring him, as you probably won't win the fight,
  • He is avoidable if you are able to outsmart HIM,
  • Each encounter with HIM could feel different,
  • Sometimes it's better to stay inside your cosy home,
  • He adapts,
  • He has 5 faces/masks representing: Gentlemen, Murderer, Thief, Pyromaniac and Psychopath,
  • Those masks each have their own Knocker behaviors,
  • He has different moods/stages,
  • He can imitate at random,
  • He taunts you at random,
  • His reactions are inconsistent, making encounters unique,
  • Strategy affects the outcome,
  • I recommend approaching him with care, as you never really know what he does,
  • If he seems stuck, don't let him fool you,
  • He fools people by acting weird,
  • He acts as a player, but could he actually be a ghost too?,
  • He isn't always hostile,
  • He actually knocks,
  • He can be a burglar too,
  • He can already be in your house messing about,
  • He visits various homes and structures and could be busy interacting,
  • Even though he has its behavior patterns, you can't expect him to stay consistent,
  • All these things will make sense after either playing this addon or watching videos about it, lol! ; )
  • You really just wanna experience this yourself!

The Knocker supports Vibrant Visuals! Please make sure to put the extra resource pack on top of the mainpack!

    yo DolphinmasterMB,i already tested him before,and when i just loaded my world the i heard his sound of him spawning he wasn't anywhere and I've been playing the world for 15 days, and he doesn't change his mask he just kinda roams around looking at my stuff,and he doesn't attack,only if i hit him and he doesn't knocks he only spawns when i sleep,i also waited all night he didn't spawn. i hope you can fix it(if you want),and how do you make these absolutely,terrifyingly good mods? do you use blockbench?(this is my longest comment so far lol)as always,have a great day my friend

    The Knocker takes damage whenever i approach him :((

    Tried to make a couple more worlds but he still takes damage when I didn't even attack him

        He works normally on survival mode, but when I tried interacting with him in creative he takes damage if I stand 4-3 blocks near him.

      The old Knocker has a rare chance to randomly spawn too I believe! Maybe play a bit more! It happens eventually! In the old one sleeping is a valid powerful trigger tho lol! Cheers! ; )

    Do u plan on adding the thing where u can chat with him? Btw, I love this sm. Also, he doesn't spawn when summoned, he briefly appears in red color but disappears quickly.

      I might do something like a chat behavior in the future perhaps! Tip: He can't really be spawned manually due to Him needing to be verified before being able to spawn to reduce and balance the spawnrate! You might wanna lock at nighttime for a more common Knocker! Cheers! ; )

      My friends helped me with asking permission(As I'm often pretty busy and have a lot of irl stuff etc)! The Java author responded to my friends: I could make something similar, but not identical or exactly the same! Also leaving credits on the page etc! I chose to make something familiar, but with an twist specifically aimed at Bedrock Minecraft players! To make things interesting and fun! Cheers! ; )

    My Knocker no longer knocks. And barely do something suprises and anything other than besides killing me (or just directly looking at him)...

    Is that a problem? :(, he barely even scares me no more?? :(

    I think you should add a feature that allows interaction with him! Similar to the bedrock version, maybe except you can actually speak back and he'll respond to certain messages? I think it'd add to the creep factor, especially if you're aiming for him to act like a player. Especially if one interaction is him trying to convince you to let him in, lol.
