REBS optimizes the breaking speed of Minecraft Vanilla tools to ensure a balanced and efficient mining experience across various blocks from different addons. Break modded blocks at the correct speed, enhancing gameplay and making mining a less boring experience.

Roughly Enough Breaking Speed (REBS) is a mod designed to enhance gameplay by ensuring that Minecraft Vanilla tools interact seamlessly with blocks added by other addons. REBS addresses this discrepancy by synchronizing tool breaking speed and interactions with block properties, maintaining a balanced mining experience.

By utilizing REBS, you will notice a seamless integration when breaking blocks from additional addons. Tools will now break these blocks at the correct speed, providing a more immersive gameplay. No longer will you need to worry about speed differences when mining a variety of blocks in your Minecraft world when playing with lots of addons!

Compatibility Note for Addon Developers

To make any other addon compatible with REBS, creators simply need to add the following tags to their blocks:

  • For Axes: [wood] or [custom_wood]
  • For Pickaxes: [stone] or [custom_stone]
  • For Shovels: [grass] or [dirt]

This simple addition ensures integration with REBS.

There is also a template to add compatibility with custom wood and wooden tool recipes. It will help you make your custom wood, craft REBS wooden tools instead of the vanilla wooden tools.

Tools provided by REBS are intentionally not displayed in the creative inventory to maintain a focused and uncluttered interface. However, REBS tools replace their vanilla counterparty in survival mode in every possible way, meaning you'll find then crafting in loot, structures and trades. Also, players can get them via commands.

Make sure to place REBS at the top of your addons list.
