The Assimilater Jar by Coolbridge5799 (Bedrock and pocket edition 1.21 1.19 1.20)

The Assimilater Jar introduces the Dweller, a terrifying Bedrock horror mob that chases players, applies blindness, and vanishes after kills — compatible with Minecraft PE/Bedrock 1.19–1.21.
Introduction
The Dweller is a horror mob designed for Minecraft Bedrock and Pocket Edition. Unlike other mods that try to make creatures smart, strategic, or sneaky, this mob is intentionally dumb. The Dweller does not stalk you, it does not teleport, and it does not set traps. Instead, it only knows one thing: chase the player until the player dies. That is why some players call it “the idiot chaser.” It is built to be frightening, but not complicated. It is fast, it hits hard, and it makes every fight stressful by taking away your vision. This addon works on Minecraft Bedrock 1.19, 1.20, and 1.21, and it can be used in both singleplayer and multiplayer.
Behavior States
The Dweller has three main stages of behavior: Spotted, Attack, and Gone.
Spotted
- Freezes in place for 17 seconds
- Plays a horror "spotted" animation (twitching, head tilting)
- Creepy spotted sound echoes nearby
- Nearest player is given Blindness for 3 seconds
- No movement or attack until the timer finishes
The Spotted state is the buildup. You know what is about to happen, and you have seventeen seconds to either prepare or panic. This creates suspense, especially in multiplayer where everyone knows the Dweller is about to charge.
Attack
- Runs straight at the player, no dodging, no tricks
- Faster than sprinting speed
- Deals 16 damage (8 hearts) per hit
- Every attack applies Blindness for 1 second
- Will not stop chasing until killed or until it despawns naturally
This is the main behavior. The Dweller is a simple chaser. It does not have clever AI. It is just an unstoppable runner that blinds you every time it connects a hit. The blindness effect is what makes it terrifying because the fight always happens in near darkness.
Gone
- If it kills a player, it immediately performs a vanish animation
- Body dissolves into black smoke particles
- Plays vanish sound effect
- Instantly despawns
This final stage makes the Dweller feel like a shadow instead of a normal mob. It does not drop loot when it vanishes after a kill. It simply disappears, leaving players unsure of when it will return.

Lore
The Dweller is called an idiot chaser, but players who face it know it is far from harmless. Legends say the Dweller was born from shadows deep underground. It does not think. It does not plan. It only freezes, screams, then runs until its target is gone. When miners or explorers hear its spotted sound, they know they have seventeen seconds before terror arrives. In villages, people whisper that the Dweller is a punishment for those who travel too deep into the dark. Some call it a parasite of the caves. Others say it is a shadow that learned to hunt. But the truth is simpler: it is a brute with no brain, a monster that exists only to chase.
In survival gameplay, this lore translates into fear. Imagine exploring with friends. One player hears the spotted screech, then everyone is blinded for a moment. Seventeen seconds later, the Dweller sprints at the group. Everyone scatters, but every time it hits, the blindness comes back. The fight feels chaotic, and when someone dies, the Dweller vanishes as if it was never real. This kind of gameplay builds stories for players, even if the mob itself is just a simple chaser.

Closing
The Dweller does not need advanced intelligence to be scary. It is not a stalker, not a shapeshifter, and not a clever hunter. It is simply a fast, strong, blind-inducing brute. Its 17-second freeze creates suspense, its attacks make players panic, and its vanish mechanic makes every encounter end in mystery. If you want a horror mob that is simple but powerful, the Dweller is perfect. It is a reminder that sometimes the scariest monsters are not the smart ones, but the ones that never stop running at you until you are gone.
