Ever wanted to make your Minecraft fears become real? This addon adds some popular well known Monsters to your Minecraft world inspired by Java, but with an interesting twist exclusive to Bedrock!

I have been slowly started reworking Fearcraft lately! It's a work in progress still!

BUT: You can already find an experimental version of the Fearcraft rework version on Modbay!

⚠️ Warning: This version might be buggy and change a lot each update! It's not guaranteed to work!
For people who like to be lab rats or scientists like me, come help me improve this new version of Fearcraft and report any bugs or share any tips for future improvements!👨🏼‍🔬

It's still the main/best version of Fearcraft lol! ; )

Entities in the Fearcraft the Experiment as of now:

  • The Man From the Fog with unique AI
  • The One Who Watches Reborn with a twist
  • The Cave Dweller Reimagined with unique AI
  • The Knocker with unique AI
  • The Shadow Figure
  • The new Goatman with unique AI
  • The King Dweller with unique AI
  • The Cartoon Cat Dweller with unique AI
  • Herobrine basic version(Can be expanded by overriding with Haunted by Herobrine Remake V3)
  • Null basic version

The entities spawn after a few days! You can hear them early tho!

Please don't ask about spawneggs, they come later lol!😝

This version differs a lot from the older one!☝️

Important: "Fearcraft the Experiment" is the new main version of the addon! You don't need the extra jumpscare pack anymore! Also Fearcraft the Experiment is best played individually, even though it's compatible with others, for the best experience! This is a Modpack containing most of my newer addons/mods! Using utility addons like dynamic light or vain miner etc is fine! I strongly recommend leaving other dweller addons out! For the intended experience!

Warning: The Legacy Fearcraft version is older and only works below Minecraft version 1.21.80! Fearcraft the Experiment however, works in the most recent Minecraft versions! Even preview lately lol!

Let's first say sorry for not updating this page info in a very long time! It caused quite some confusion, unfortunately! I have a really hard time keeping track of the information, and sometimes I forget who's involved with it!

The Fearcraft Addon is strongly inspired by Java and uses some creations from developers from the Java platform! Because of the way I handle stress, I completely forgot about giving them credit for their hard and original work! I'm still not very familiar with all Java developers involved! I haven't played Java that much yet, lol! I respect the original creators of the entities and I don't have any bad intentions at all! I just liked to make something nice and familiar for Bedrock! Bedrock doesn't really have a big addon community yet! I only code the entities Bedrock AI! Some of my friends made Bedrock versions of the entities! Our Bedrock versions work different from Java! But we should at least have asked for permission! I'm sorry for that!

I'm really thankful to "everyone" who's involved with both the original Java mods and bedrock version of those mods! I will give credit to those I'm familiar with being involved in this!

If something isn't correct, feel free to ask me about it! I do my best to make this as fair as possible!

I prefer things to be positive and legit!

The Fearcraft Addon for Bedrock in short

Fearcraft is an addon adding some interesting horrors to Minecraft Bedrock! Most of those horrors are inspired by popular Java mods! Fearcraft aims for an interesting and quite familiar horror experience on the Bedrock platform of Minecraft!

This addon is in public beta and will update very quickly fixing bugs and adding interesting new stuff! Fearcraft is a community driven project and most of the stuff happening is based on user requests and fun experiments! Making Minecraft addons is our hobby not our work lol! We prefer to have fun with our project and don't cause any trouble! We just like to make people scared of Minecraft lol! Just for fun!

I recommend playing this addon blindly and let it take you by surprise for the best experience possible! There are some examples and tutorials on this page for if you're scared of the unknown!

Please keep in mind this addon updates "almost" daily! Fixing bugs, doing improvements and adding interesting surprises!

Install and Update Tips

Please disable the addon from any worlds prior! Make sure to delete all older versions of the addon first! Then redownload and reinstall the addon after! Don't leave any older versions behind! Check both your Minecraft storage cache and older worlds resources and behaviors for older versions to delete, before attempting a new installation! Also, always toggle all experiments on in your world for the addon to function correctly! Happy playing! Cheers! ; )

  • Added two new Dwellers with unique AI being experimented on!
  • Some Dwellers are more desperate: they will persist in chasing when they feel like catching you (changes to scenarios where they gave up way too early).
  • Added the Goatman to the turn cycle correctly (previously accidentally excluded).

  • Please help me confirm their behavior and have some mad fun with crazy entity AI!

  • The cave dweller can learn to go to the surface later, when the player progresses.
  • Some entities/dwellers can learn to follow you into the Nether.
  • Random stalkers / jumpscares might occur when you least expect it.
  • Reduced the chance of random fog significantly.

Changelog for September 20, 2025 / Old Update
  • Big convenience update:
    • Massively improved the cycle system where Dwellers/entities take turns!
    • All surface dwellers now correctly take turns!
    • The Goatman got locked into the cycle too now!
  • Some exclusions:
    • The Cave Dweller is excluded in the cycle! He is independent!
    • Some entities/dwellers can affect the game in the background without being at turn dynamicly!
    • Some surface creatures at turn can sometimes randomly appear in caves too based on their behavior algorithms!
  • Things to know:
    • You start with a 1 day grace period (The cave dweller might spawn slightly earlier when in super deep caves early)!
    • You might hear sounds etc early (ambience)!
    • The Dwellers/Entities can still have their own progression/phases/states besides taking turns!
    • Fearcraft the Experiment is made with Vibrant Visuals in mind and might look different (slightly off) without!
  • For the future:
    • New Dwellers/Entities might join the Experiment unexpectedly at random times!
    • I'm still cooking!
    • Besides being very busy, the Experiment still evolves!
    • It's super fun!

      Hmmmm! They should spawn eventually, if the addon is activated correctly! Please keep in mind some of the creatures in Fearcraft are powerfull bosses that are very rare! Cheers! ; )

      The Fearcraft addon specifically doesn't use spawneggs with a reason! The entities/monsters in this addon have unique rules based on gameplay conditions! Those make the game interesting and dynamic in survival! Using spawneggs to spawn them breaks the system and ruins the intentional experience!

      I recommend using them all! Just in case! It can't hurt! There actually are some instances where those are needed! Especially for my Herobrine addon as I discovered that the Herobrine chase system actually depends on those toggles lol! Cheers! ; )

          If you summon him close by, he might be in reach to start a chase aswell!
  4. Hey dolphin master! I’ll be your friendly addon observer named Logan. Here is my notes i have taken:
    1. The eyes in the dark don’t need to be multicolored.)
    2. The eyes in the dark should be re-shaped to look more like eyes and not just squares.)
    3. The darkness effect gets annoying sometimes. Perhaps it could be toned down a bit?
    4. Remove the annoying constant giggling so I don’t have to listen to it nonstop all the time. I like silence unless i am confronting an entity.
    5. Ambient noises are played too repeatedly, maybe spread them out?
    6. Adjust the hit box of the cave dweller so it fits the body. Because it will climb up walls and it’s upper body will phase through the ceiling.

    That should be it. Keep up the good work, and see if you can try your best to fix these issues. I’m looking forward to the next update!
  5. Hello I saw this mod and it looks very good and fun but I can't install it bcuz it's in dropbox, could you add an xbox friendly download link using media fire or something?

      Doesn't Dropbox work on Xbox?! What's causing the inconsistency exactly though? I prefer to use Dropbox for easy quick development and updates! Changing course isn't easy, but I might consider though! Cheers! ; )

    The previous update actually was completely broken due some typos in the code!
    I fixed those issues/bugs!
    The addon should be playable once again!
    Sorry for the inconvenience!

    I strongly recommend deleting the older version and installing the new one for some exclusive new features!

  8. I found another bug! When the cave dweller crawls on 2 or 1 block space he doesn't do his crawling/crouching animation, I already deleted the old versions of the mod but I still see the bugs, hope you can fix it.
  9. I think i found a bug on man from the fog entity is that he doesn't get aggressive when I look at him he just stands and doesn't do anything.

    Making things worse for the player:
    The Dwellers can now kinda swim! Water(and lava) pathfinding improved!
    The Dwellers now have a chance of being able to mine blocks sometimes!
    Also some bug fixes and overall improvements!

    Redownload and reinstall the addon for the changes to take place!
    Make sure to fully delete the older version first though!

  13. what experimental settings do you need to activate in order to use the addon cause when I activate it in my world nothing happens

      I always recommend trying to use the experimental features, if the addon doesn't run correctly! Although for this addon those features shouldn't be needed! You haven't found the new monsters yet? Those do spawn automatically based on their own natural conditions! There are no spawn eggs, because this monsters are exceptional and use different rules other than vanilla Minecraft! They should spawn! Maybe try downloading the addon again and do a reinstall!
  14. First a great Haunted by Herobrine addon, now this? Its like a blessing! You are the horror addon creator as of right now, lets have patience, as you will soon explode in popularity, im sure. Only one question from me, is it possible to only have specific entities, basically disabling one? I would like Man from the Fog and the eyes, but i dont neccesarily want the cave dweller, if not, i understand, this mod is in beta, so my apologies for being so demanding already.... Anyways, keep up the great work!

      Thank you very much! A disable function is indeed a nice suggestion! I will start working on it! Please keep in mind this beta addon updates in real time! I recommend reinstalling the FearCraft addon regularly as bugs will constantly get fixed real time! Even some sneaky new features will be presented! In the next update use: "/tag @a add d1" to disable the Cave Dweller! Use "/tag @a add d2" to disable the Eyes in the Darkness! Use "/tag @a add d3" to disable The Man From the Fog! Remove the tags to enable them again! This feature will be available soon! Cheers! ; )

      Thank you very much! You could combine the addons! Although it could be performance heavy! I recommend using a powerful device or lowering your settings! If done correctly, it should work fine!
